Hi, I’m Tom. Scuba Mallorca is my business, and scuba diving is my personal passion. I was just ten years old when I first came to Mallorca to learn to dive and instantly fell in love. So Mallorca it was, its home of some of the best diving to be found anywhere in the world. This is where I learnt to dive. But that’s not quite the whole of my story. This was back in 2000.

My parents found the best local company for me to learn with. It was a small family business and took real care of its clients and customers. The instructors knew what they were doing; they knew the dive sites; and they were keen to share their love of the water, consequently I learnt to dive with the best on the island and came back year after year. By the time I was fourteen the business owners had temporary guardianship of me during the school holidays. I spent every summer working with them, diving with them, and learning about their business. Those business owners were Mick and Jessie Elliot.

The business was Scuba Mallorca. Today Mick and Jessie are successfully retired. When their business needed another partner I didn’t hesitate and in 2012/2013 i bought the business from them. They feel like part of my family. This business, this island, the diving – it is in my blood. I think the ten year old that stood here and dreamed of underwater adventure perhaps never dared hope that one day he would own the business. In terms of a dream coming true, though, it’s pretty special. I hope you can spend some time with us, and will feel the same way too.

DIVING COURSES AND INSTRUCTION We are a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre, which is the highest qualification for dive education establishments. All of our courses are run fully in-house and include the classroom and theory sessions. Please note you will also need to purchase the necessary PADI training materials. We can supply these for you at competitive prices. Please ask for details.

If you’re looking for a flexible way to learn, then PADI’s online tuition is a good option. Complete the theory in the comfort of your own home and then come and complete your confined and open water dives with us. Please contact us for more details.
